Construction project platform

The whole building process in one system — from assessment to invoicing.

For an architecture and planning practice we built a platform that covers building assessment end to end: on-site evaluation, defect reports, site diaries and inspection reports. Combined with an AI integration that turns a photo and a spoken note into a finished description. On top of that sits the full process of a building project, including its schedule.

The system is in day-to-day use. For data protection reasons the company is not named; the screens shown come from a demo instance with anonymised data.

Starting point

Assessment on paper, evaluation back at the office.

Building assessment happens on site: a defect is spotted, photographed, noted on paper and typed into a spreadsheet at the office that evening. Evaluation, trade, deadline and severity are only added there — days after the finding.

Schedules lived in another spreadsheet, site diaries on paper, quotes and invoices in accounting. Nobody had the complete state of a building project.

Solution

One case that carries the assessment.

The platform maps the entire process of a building project: schedule, events and defects, site diary, inspection reports, measurements, quotes and invoices — all on the same project.

A finding is created where it is made: take a photo, dictate a note, and the AI integration turns it into a structured defect description with trade, severity and deadlines. The report is finished before anyone is back at a desk.

AI integration

A photo and a spoken note become a finding.

A defect is photographed and briefly dictated. The AI reads the image and proposes a description — in the example, corrosion on a door hinge fixing, with the likely cause and what happens if it is left.

The proposal is a draft, not a verdict: site management and the surveyor review, correct and release it. The time saved is in the writing, not in the judgement.
